Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl is a 2024 stop-motion animated feature film[1][2][3][4] in the Wallace & Gromit series produced by Aardman Animations in partnership with Netflix and directed by Nick Park and Merlin Crossingham. It debuted internationally on Netflix on 3 January 2025, except for the UK where it first aired on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on 25 December 2024. It also received a limited theatrical run.
It stars Ben Whitehead as Wallace in the first film of the franchise made since his previous voice actor's death and is also both the first Wallace & Gromit streaming film, fourth non-theatrical film and the second feature-length film, following Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. It has also become the 6th consecutive Wallace & Gromit film to be nominated for an Academy Award, that being Best Animated Feature, following Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, which won in 2006.
Synopsis[]
"Gromit's concern that Wallace is becoming too dependent on his inventions proves justified when Wallace invents a 'smart gnome' that seems to develop an evil mind of its own. When it emerges that a vengeful figure from the past might be masterminding things, it falls to Gromit to battle sinister forces and save his master… or Wallace may never be able to invent again!"

Trivia[]
- This is the first film in the franchise to not feature Peter Sallis as he passed away on 2 June 2017.
- This is the first film to be produced in the 2.35:1 aspect ratio. The previous two were produced in 1.85:1.
- This is the first instalment of the franchise to not have the score solely composed by Julian Nott.[9] However, multiple composers including Lorne Balfe did additional composition for Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit.
- Feathers and Mackintosh are the only major characters to appear in multiple Wallace & Gromit films.
- Prior to the announcement of his return in this film, Feathers made a cameo in Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget. This seems to be a coincidence rather than foreshadowing, according to a TikTok interview with the film's directors.[10]
- Wallace & Gromit is the third Aardman feature film subject to become a franchise, after Shaun the Sheep and Chicken Run.
- The Farmer makes three surprise cameos in the film. The first is when he is one of the people in the angry crowd outside of Wallace’s front yard. The second is when he's part of the crowd at the museum present for Mackintosh's speech. And the third is in the climax when he is collecting vegetables for his trolley, as Wallace crashes into it and causes the Farmer to utter “Why, ya...!”.
- This is the second consecutive Aardman and Netflix collaboration feature film to have a previous villain’s return, the first being Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget.
- Both returns feature the protagonist reprising a previous line towards the antagonist with "again"; Ginger's "Bye-bye. Again." in Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget and Wallace's "Good grief! It's you! Again!" in this film.
- This is the second Aardman franchise feature film to have someone drop its subtitle, including in the trailer, with this being Wallace, after Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget with Mrs. Melisha Tweedy.
- This is the third Aardman feature film to use a "fowl" pun, the first being Early Man (as the giant duck appears in the climax) and the second being Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget (on the newspaper shown in the intro).
- This is the first Wallace & Gromit film since The Wrong Trousers to not give Wallace a love interest.
- The Snoozy Choc, which previously appeared on a poster in The Wrong Trousers, makes its proper debut in this film.
- It was originally meant to appear in The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, in a deleted scene where Gromit, similar to the Norbots, serves Wallace an especially saturated cup; in this case, to stop him from singing all night.
- The St George's Church can be seen near the river during the climax.
Goofs/errors[]
- When Mackintosh goes to get his moustache trimmed, it still retains its shape.[11]
