Robin Robin is a 2021 British stop-motion animated Christmas musical short film produced by Aardman Animations. It debuted on Netflix on November 24, 2021.

Summary[]

In this stop-motion short film, a bird raised by mice begins to question where she belongs and sets off on a daring journey of self-discovery.

Plot[]

a family of mice find an egg which has rolled out of its nest, the egg hatches into a Robin and the mice raise it as part of the family. many years later, a matured Robin joins the mice on their multiple food heists into homes, but fails each time because she is not good at sneaking in unnoticed and focuses rather on singing and attempting to steal larger foods. Robin sneaks out one night, and runs into a Magpie who lives in a hollow homemade Christmas tree. the Magpie tells Robin that the humans living in the nearby village apparently use a magical "wishing star" to grant wishes, and Robin suggests they should steal one.

Robin and Magpie manage to steal a star from a human's Christmas tree, but Robin gets stuck in a shed where she is confronted by a cat who tells her she is an outcast because she does not know whether she is a mouse or a bird. the cat attempts to eat Robin but Robin and Magpie manage to blow up the shed. the two get back to Magpie's tree with the star, and Robin wishes she was a real mouse so she could be better at heists and not be an outcast. the next morning, Robin finds her wish has not come true. the cat then reappears and attempts to both destroy Magpie's tree and eat Robin, but Robin manages to lure her to the edge of a branch where she falls into a river. Robin and Magpie are then greeted by the mouse family who tell Robin that she is still accepted as part of the family despite her species. the mice with Magpie then go onto another heist in a human house in which Robin distracts the humans with a song.
