Chicken Run 2 is an upcoming 2020 sequel to Aardman's highest grossing film classic from 2000. It will be distributed this time by StudioCanal just like that company only distributed in Germany. Also Pathe will return to distribute the sequel just like that company distributed the first movie in 2000. Unlike the first movie from DreamWorks, they will not return to distributed the sequel ever since Aardman's last film with DreamWorks called Flushed Away (2006). It will be released on January 3, 2020 in the United Kingdom, and in the United States on October 16, 2020.
