Ampersand, Aperture, Anode, Avenue, Atrophy and Addendum Woodlice are the members of Abacus Woodlouse's family, a group of somewhat frequent recurring characters in Lloyd of the Flies.
He is also mentioned to have cousins in one episode.
Appearance[]
The Woodlice in LOTF are ether violet or indigo blue-toned roly polies. Their bodies are segmented into 6 ridges, with a pair of 3-fingered arms for each one. Their shells are a much deeper shade of indigo blue than the rest of their body.
All other members of the Woodlouse family have ether body moles or freckles, a shell or antennae injury and/or missing limbs to be differentiated from Abacus himself, as he is the only member of his family not to have any of them.
Trivia[]
- Abacus and his family are the only roly poly characters ever seen in the show.
- The family names all its children after 3-syllable words starting with 'A' (with the exception of the older sister, Anode).
- It's a running gag for Addendum to be mentioned late.
